WHAT IS SUGARING?
Sugaring hair removal is an ancient middle-eastern practice that uses all natural made from food-derived ingredients like sugar, water, and lemon juice to remove the hair follicle from the root with results lasting from 3-6 weeks.
HOW DOES SUGARING WORK?
The two types of sugaring methods are strip sugar and hand paste and are performed differently.
Here's how:
Strip sugar performed similarly to waxing, is a pliable substance applied in the direction of the hair growth and removed in the opposite direction. Sugar sticks to the hair, not to the skin, and in contrast to waxing, there is no violent pull when the strip sugar is removed but only a gentle flick making sugaring more comfortable.
Hand paste considered the traditional technique, is a warmed thick sugar mixture that can be applied in all directions of hair growth using the hands. It's then flicked off removing very short hair even 7-10 days after shaving.
advantages of sugaring
The rewards of sugaring. Large amounts of hair can be taken out at once, and finished faster than even with waxing. With most waxes, you have to apply them to a limited area- remove, go to your next area, remove and so forth. With sugaring you can speed things up by applying the sugar to a very large area, and it won't dry out, even if you take it off in smaller sections.
Easy clean up. Both the strip sugar and hand paste are water soluble, meaning you can clean off any residue left on the skin with plain water, unlike regular wax.
Hand paste can be applied over missed hairs. The hand paste is very gentle and can be put right over an area that was just sugared but missed some hairs, without fear of much irritation.
Temporary results can turn into permanent. Over time, frequent sugaring can cause the hair follicle to collapse resulting in less hair growth. The SUKAR method takes the hair out by the root leaving very few broken hairs.
Some hair growth is needed. 1/4 of an inch is needed when sugaring, which is about 7-10 days of hair growth after shaving. The SUKAR sugaring method also results in fewer ingrown hairs than other methods.
the ouch
factor
The Sugar treatment is gentler on the skin than other methods, and this is what clients are looking for, comfortable hair removal. Many clients ask “why is this method less painful?” One reason is that the sugar is not applied hot, and therefore does not increase the blood supply to the surface and hair follicle which would make the skin sensitive to the treatment.
