What is E-PEN?
E-Pen is a non-surgical micro-needling device that creates micro skin punctures to improve skin’s appearance. E-Pen creates thousands of micro skin punctures per second. In response to these micro injuries, your body produces collagen and elastin to heal the wound naturally. E-Pen improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and is very comfortable as a topical anesthetic is applied.
What are the benefits?
E-Pen treats age spots, blackheads, hyper-pigmentation (melasma), acne spots and scars, fine lines and wrinkles, and improves the appearance of dull, “tired-looking” aging skin.
How long does the procedure take and will it hurt?
It takes 30 minutes for the face. E-Pen can be used on the face, neck, décolleté’, arms, hands, legs, abdomen, and neck, which are the areas that often reveal the most tell-tale signs of aging and sun damage. A topical anesthetic is applied to the skin prior to the procedure which allows for a comfortable experience.
Is there any down time or are there any side effects?
Most patients have slight swelling and mild redness like a sunburn for 24 to 48 hours. Some heal completely in 24 hours.
When will I see results?
Patients can see a “glow” to their skin as soon as the procedure is finished. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several weeks.
